Harpist Claire Jones - May 12, 2017

This Mother's Day, 4pm at Calvary Episcopal Church, Britain’s best selling classical harpist, Claire Jones presents her truly unique harp music in the percussion duo - C2, featuring West End percussionist and emerging composer, Chris Marshall. The performance will include the theme from Downton Abbey, Ladies in Lavender, Ritual Fire Dance by De Falla, themes from Carmen by Bizet, original compositions by Chris Marshall and a wide variety of exciting well known pieces from the world of film and classical music.   Ms. Jones and Mr. Marshall stopped by WQED-FM to talk abou the concert as well as play two pieces in our studio.

Pittsburgh Philharmonic - May 10, 2017

The Pittsburgh Philharmonic performs the final concerts of their 2016-2017 season on May 19th and 20th.   The concert features Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 4 and Violin Concerto, as well as "Three Arguments" by the Philharmonic's Young Composer Contest winner Chris Massa.
